The city of Frankfurt has witnessed the events of the Heimtextil Fair, the most famous and important international trade fair for home and contract textiles during the period from the 9th till the 12th of January.
Heimtextil 2013 was able to accomplish several great achievements this year. The number of the exhibitors has increased to reach 2,658 coming from various countries and regions around the world.
From the visitors’ side, In spite of the harsh economical conditions affecting the commercial activities all around the globe, the number of visitors tended to reach more than 66,000 trade buyers who originate from 129 countries. The biggest visitor nations after Germany are Italy, China, Turkey, Great Britain, the USA, France, Spain, the Russian Federation and Poland.
This is exactly what Detlef Braun, a Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt, the organizers of the fair stated; "Despite the current difficult economic climate, Heimtextil 2013 achieved an outstanding set of results and underscored its preeminent position as the world’s leading trade fair for home and contract textiles" According to the traditions of the fair, a questioner was distributed among the exhibitors and the buyers to assess how satisfied they are with the fair and the results were clearly good, as 80% of the exhibitors and 94% of the buyers expressed that they have achieved their goals intended from the fair. In comparison to the fair of 2012, with only 79% of the exhibitors and 93% of the buyers showing their satisfaction towards the Heimtextil Fair, the results are relatively good.
Martin Auerbach, the Director of the Association of the German Home Textile Industry showed how pleased he is with the good start to the season for the domestic industry: "We are highly satisfied with the successful course of business and the positive mood among exhibitors and visitors of Heimtextil 2013. Thanks in particular to the high level of internationalization, we anticipate more impulses from abroad again in 2013".
The most attractive exhibitions of Heimtextil 2013 included a large collection of carpets and wallpapers, especially those showcased by InHouse Group Denmark, Scandinavia's largest carpet importer and distributor and the well-known fabric editors Clarke & Clarke from Great Britain.
With the exhibitors showing their gratitude and the visitors expressing their appreciation towards what they have viewed, the Heimtextil fair for textiles is gaining more and more international attention and recognition every year.
